Into the Outdoors Launches New Episode Lineup in Celebration of National Forest Products Week

Into the Outdoors to Release Four New Episodes on Forest Products, Markets, Multi-Use Management, and Stewardship Airing Throughout the Month of October

Madison, WISCONSIN – (October 2, 2024) – Into the Outdoors, an Emmy award-winning kids edutainment series that leads in outdoor and science education both nationally and internationally, launches a new, up-and-coming lineup of episodes celebrating National Forest Products Week airing throughout the month of October. 

National Forest Products Week, occurring annually every third week of October, invites communities across the Nation to celebrate our forests, wood products, innovative research, and the economic growth that they provide. Teaming up with the Department of Natural Resources, Into the Outdoors discovers the wonders of wood–a vital natural resource–in four new episodes.

In each episode, the youth adventure team explores all things forest products, including historical and innovative uses as well as ecological and economic benefits. Airing on Saturday, October 5, 2024, ‘Managing Forests for Multi-Use: Ecosystems, Recreation, and Products’ showcases how sustainable forest management benefits wildlife, recreation, and the economy. From protecting ecosystems to producing forest products, viewers will learn how forests are managed for multiple purposes.

‘The Forest Products Marketplace,’ airing on Saturday, October 12, 2024, explores the innovative ways forest products are being used to combat climate change and support healthy forests, from mass timber buildings to bioenergy from wood waste.
