Madison, WISCONSIN – (September 19, 2025) – Into the Outdoors, an Emmy® award-winning kids’ edutainment series that leads in outdoor and science education both nationally and internationally, has been nominated in the 67th Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, which will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

“I’m so proud of our team and the partnerships that help drive this content. This nomination confirms that we’re making a difference and inspiring the next generation,” said Mark Rose, President and CEO of Discover Mediaworks.

The nomination is for the Children/Youth/Teen Short and Long Form Content category, recognizing the episode “Coast Guard Rescues and Boating Safety: Real-Life Case Files!” Produced in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard and Wildlife Forever, this episode highlights authentic Coast Guard rescue stories while promoting essential boating safety practices.

“Through an innovative partnership with Into the Outdoors and the Getting Families Fishing and Boating Initiative, we are able to create content that educates and inspires the next generation. With declining participation in outdoor activities, ITO programs break down misconceptions and empower skill-based, conservation learning,” said Pat Conzemius, President and CEO of Wildlife Forever.

With a focus on engaging storytelling and educational impact, Into the Outdoors continues to encourage young audiences to develop a deeper appreciation for nature and safety, while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on investigation and real-world examples.
